AERMOR is seeking is seeking qualified candidates to define the instructional, operational, and administrative tasks required to deliver formalized training in support of the CRF Training Continuum for personnel assigned to Navy Expeditionary Combat Command’s (NECC) Coastal Riverine Force or other units/activities as designated by NECC.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Be able to perform the duties and responsibilities as a Waterborne/Landward Instructor
  • Conduct training for and be highly proficient in use of Harris Radio Systems and instruct students in basic and advance radio operational skills. 
  • Perform and explain Tactical Operations Center (TOC) set-up, watch standing, information management/flow, procedures, reporting, preplanned responses, and protocols through a variety of mission scenarios promoting appropriate communication and action in a Coastal Riverine environment.
    Instruct and guide Students through a full mission profile from start to finish.

  • Provide training on the following:
    • AN/PRC-117 Harris Falcon III Multiband Networking Manpack
    • AN/PRC-150 Type-1 HF Radio
    • AN/PRC-152 Type-1 Handheld Multiband
    • AN/PYQ-10 Simple Key Loader (SKL)/KIK-11 Tactical Key Loader
  • Able to perform duties as an Electronics Key Management System (EKMS) Local Holder
  • Responsible for the safety of the students.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Possess documented experience and be proficient operating portable tactical communications equipment, specifically;
    • AN/PRC-117 Harris Falcon III Multiband Networking Manpack
    • AN/PRC-150 Type-1 HF Radio
    • AN/PRC-152 Type-1 Handheld Multiband
    • AN/PYQ-10 Simple Key Loader (SKL)/KIK-11 Tactical Key Loader
  • Possess proficiency in basic Tactical Operations Center (TOC) set-up, watchstanding, information management/flow, procedures, reporting, preplanned responses and Combatant-Craft FLIR (CC-FLIR) system.
  • Able to perform duties as an Electronics Key Management System (EKMS) Local Holder
  • Function in an Information Assurance (IA) Workforce Technical capacity as an IAT Level I for CENSECFOR legacy assets associated with Coastal Riverine Training. In this role, the Tactical Communications Instructors will:
    • DFARS 239.71 Statement:
      • The Contractor shall ensure that personnel accessing information systems have the proper and current information assurance certification to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program. The Contractor shall meet the applicable information assurance certification requirements, including:
        • (1) DoD-approved information assurance workforce certifications appropriate for each category and level as listed in the current version of DoD 8570.01-M; and
        • (2) Appropriate operating system certification for information assurance technical positions as required by DoD 8570.01-M.
      • Upon request by the Government, the Contractor shall provide documentation supporting the information assurance certification status of personnel performing information assurance functions.
      • Contractor personnel who do not have proper and current certifications shall be denied access to DoD information systems for the purpose of performing information assurance functions.
        • Maintain Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) certification in accordance with DoD Publication 8570.01-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program) (Attachment R) for an Information Assurance Technician Level I for the Coastal Riverine Training computing environment (CE). The incumbent will function as a DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework, (DCWF) Code 411, Technical Support specialty, Intermediate/Journeyman level.
        • Current required DoD 8570.01M certifications and qualifications as defined in SECNAVMAN 5239.2 are:
          • Security + Certification
          • Completed an accepted Microsoft 70-698-1 and 70-698-2 course of instruction or is Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate for Windows 10 certification.
        • appropriate for the aforementioned certifications.
        • Maintain SECNAVINST 1543.2, Cyberspace/Information Technology Workforce Continuous Learning, 30 November 2012 requirement of 40 hours of position relevant training annually or 80 hours per 2-year period.
        • Tasks include:
          • Diagnose and resolve customer reported system incidents.,
          • Identify end-user requirements for software and hardware solutions,
          • Install and configure hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for system users,
          • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment,
          • Manage inventory of information technology (IT) resources, Monitor client-level computer system performance,
          • Provide recommendations for possible improvements and upgrades,
          • Report emerging trend findings,
          • Test computer system performance,
          • Troubleshoot system hardware and software
        • Apply instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform IT/IA tasks within CE
        • Provide end-user IT support for all related CE operating systems, peripherals, and applications
        • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to the Coastal Riverine Training CE
        • Apply appropriate CE access controls
        • Apply established IA security procedures and safeguards, and comply with responsibilities of assignment
        • Install, test, maintain, and upgrade Coastal Riverine Training CE operating system software and hardware to comply with IA requirements
        • Understand and implement technical vulnerability corrections
