​​AERMOR is seeking qualified candidates that will provide end users customer support by coordinating software, hardware, network, and issue resolution. Will install, configure, troubleshoot, and provide maintenance and training. Will provide network engineering support to design, implement, and verify network infrastructure equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls for aircraft command and control system networks for the US Navy.

Responsibilities Include:​.

  • Creates, edits, and maintains building diagrams and schematics utilizing AutoCAD
  • Creates, edits and maintains all network diagrams, electrical schematics and HVAC systems diagrams
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians
  • Installation, termination, labeling, testing, troubleshooting and certification of all associated cabling components, to include but not limited to, CAT 3, CAT 5, CAT 5e, and CAT 6 twisted pair cable; single- or multi strand multi-mode or single-mode fiber optic cable primarily within government facilities
  • Participates in special projects as required

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in AutoCAD software 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in pulling cable, terminating and testing copper and fiber-optic cable
  • Ability to design, coordinate, install, test and document infrastructure components (e.g. cable, circuits, fiber, pipe and conduit)
  • Ability to deal with customers at all levels in stressful situations
  • Ability to prioritize and dynamically re-task response and recovery actions as situations change
  • Ability to work as part of a small team of technicians through upgrade, configuration and maintenance of cabling solutions on different classification networks
  • Read and update existing building blue prints and cabling diagrams
  • Ability to work on ladders up to and beyond 15 feet

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited four-year college or technical school in IT or related technical field
  • This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in Specialty Area 41 to meet the program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2.
  • Specialty Area 41: CompTIA Security+ ce, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) ce
